師父能夠寬容習慣跟他完全不一樣的一個弟子，而且能在他的那種習慣上給予他恰當的引導，可是如果我們有一種習慣，看到老師的習慣跟我的不一樣，就多半會觀過。即便你不承許上師是佛，上師對你的心和我們對上師的心是完全不能比的。 -- 真如老師

The Late Master can tolerate a disciple whose habits are totally different from His own and give him appropriate guidance according to the disciple’s habits. However, if we see a habit of the guru that is different from ours, we normally examine his faults. You may not concur that the Guru is really the Buddha. Yet our consideration for the Guru absolutely cannot compare to the Guru’s consideration for us.  -- Master Jenru
