 我們覺得學習經論是很麻煩的，我們會找捷徑去取得修行的成功。也沒有想過很多向內調伏啊，乃至到底用什麼樣的發心念這一句佛號，才能真的跟阿彌陀佛相應啊、跟西方極樂世界相應啊......很多東西。沒有對教理作過詳盡地聞思，我們就會覺得：「哎！就是那樣一回事情！」

We think of it as troublesome to study the scriptures and would rather find a shortcut to success of cultivation. We do not consider issues like disciplining ourselves inwardly or even what kind of aspiration to have while chanting the Buddha’s name so as to concord with Amitabha or Western Pure Land. Without carefully listening to and contemplating upon the teaching, we simply think “Alas! It has to be like that!”

 「他這麼絕頂聰明，那我太笨了！」我太笨了，然後呢？「所以我就笨下去吧！」或者說：「這是聰明人走的路，我就不走這條路。」還是會覺得：「這麼聰明的人都選擇走這條路，何況我這麼笨的呢？我更要跟著聰明人走了！」

“He is extremely intelligent but I am so foolish!” I am so foolish, and then what? “Then I just remain foolish all the way down!” Or “This is the path for the intelligent, not for me.” Or you may think “Even the intelligent ones take this path, not to mention foolish ones like me. Everyone of us who is listening diligently to the teaching of the Late Master at this moment is dedicating his efforts to the lineage of Dharma since we have great confidence in this teaching. We can rejoice ourselves because we do not cultivate ourselves according to personal imaginations. Instead, we do so according to commentaries with rigorous doctrines, rely on teaching of the Guru and practice repeatedly.

宗大師這樣絕頂聰明的人都去跟所有的善知識學，那麼又何況是我呢？說學佛法不能夠憑藉自己的主觀臆斷、主觀想像，要看看傳承是怎麼說的、經上是怎麼說的、論是怎麼講的。那麼這麼說有道理嗎？要經過內心的反覆思辨、再再地去思考，所以它會被稱為是智慧之學。

An extremely intelligent practitioner like Master Tsong Khapa still had to learn from all Gurus, not to mention people like me. To learn Buddha Dharma, we cannot rely on our own subjective assumptions and imaginations but shall see what the lineage says or what are written on sutras or commentaries instead. Does it make sense to say so? We need to contemplate over and over and analyze repeatedly in our minds, and this is why it is known as the study of wisdom.

佛教是一個非常非常嚴謹的思辨過程，它不是憑想像力而構建的一個玄學，它是非常非常嚴謹的，由於思路、由於抉擇而成立出來的教理。透過跟隨善知識聽聞，聽聞之後得到聞慧，然後再進行思考得到思慧——得到自己不可動搖的這種見解，然後再依照這個來修行轉變。

Buddhism is a very rigorous process of dialectics. It is not metaphysics built merely upon imagination but very rigorous doctrines soundly grounded on reasoning and determination. By following and listening to the Guru, we obtain the wisdom arising from listening. Subsequently, we contemplate and obtain the wisdom arising from contemplation, which leads to our unshakable perception, and then base on this to practice and transform.

When it comes to Scriptural Library, we would think of outstanding translators like Master Xuanzang, Master Yijing, Master Kumarajiva, as well as more recently, Venerable Fa-zun, Venerable Da-yong, etc. They dedicated every single drop of painstaking efforts in their lives to depict the beautiful scroll of the heritage that looks to us so magnificent and touching.

他為什麼要翻譯呢？就是為了我們這些漢土的有情能夠了解藏傳佛法，然後做了這麼多辛苦的翻譯呀！現在我們寺院的法師們也在翻譯，我也有參與過一些。在翻譯的時候可以看到真的是滿辛苦的，說「滴滴心血化為字」一點都不過分！

Why did he do the translation? He made efforts to do so much difficult translation to help people in the Sinosphere like us to understand Tibetan Buddhism! Now monks in our monastery are also working on translation, some of which I also take part in. In the process of translation we can quite see the hardship. We are not exaggerating when we say “turning the painstaking efforts into word”!
