◎我們周遭的人，影響我們最大、最直接的是父母和老師。他們的習慣、概念不管是好是壞，都會深深地影響我們。以前的教育教人怎麼做聖賢，菩薩是為了救人，救到最後，自己會也被救；現在的教育是教人怎麼賺錢、求名利，結果不但害人，到最後，自己也會被害。【日常師父法語】

Among people around us, parents and teachers bring us the greatest and the most direct influence. Their habits and concepts, good or bad, both influence us deeply. In the past, education is to teach people how to be sages and men of virtue. Bodhisattvas are to save others and eventually be saved themselves. Nowadays education is to teach people how to earn fortune and fame. It not only harms others but also themselves in the end.  – Master Jih Chang
