◎末法的時候，苾芻大多沒有戒，只求多聞。戒和多聞，不瞭解的話是兩件事情，瞭解的話是一件事情。要想真正把戒學好，一定要有正確的認識，而正確的認識要透過多聞，反過來，多聞以後不去持，也沒有用。【日常師父法語】
In the Dharma’s Ending Age, most monks just want to be diligent at learning instead of their ethical discipline. As for learning and ethical discipline, they appear to be two separate things if you do not really understand them. If you really know them, they are really the same thing. To understand ethical discipline well, you need rightful perceptions, which can only be obtained through diligent learning. On the other hand, learning diligently without practicing will also be useless at all. – Master Jih Chang
