◎沒有受戒之前的善行叫做善，受了戒的善行叫做戒善，同樣做一件事情，善與戒善二者功德相差非常大。善，去做有功德，沒做雖沒功德，但也沒有害處；戒善，則是去做有絕大的功德，可是不做的話，卻有絕大的害處。【日常師父法語】

Before receiving precepts, our good deeds are goodness; the good deeds after receiving precepts are called morality. Doing the same thing, the effect between goodness and morality is huge. Goodness is something beneficial when doing it, but not harmful when not doing it. Morality is something enormously beneficial when doing it, but very harmful when not doing it.  – Master Jih Chang
