Hello, everyone
新年快樂 Happy New Year
Happy New Year
今天是豬年的第一天
Today is the first day in the year of pig
祝大家豬年奮發向上
I wish everyone to strive forward in the year of pig
諸事大吉
And everything to be lucky
之前有個居士跟我討論過年的方式
Once a lay Buddhist discussed with me how to spend the New Year
我想了一下
I chewed on this
如果實在讓我提建議的話
If you really want me to make a suggestion
我就建議可以在家庭團聚的時候
I suggest that in our family gathering
認真誠摯地講出
speak out sincerely
過去這一年大家對家人的付出
how everyone made efforts for the family last year
對社會的奉獻
and for the society
還有德行的進步
and the progress in morality
要感恩長輩 鼓勵幼小
Thank the elderly and encourage the young
希望氣氛真摯熱烈
I hope the atmosphere can be sincere and enthusiastic
大家能夠在一起造集
Everyone can create together
一個強猛的隨喜的善業
a virtuous karma that is strong and rejoicing
然後就把這一年來的善行
Then collect your good deeds last year
還有無量劫的善行
and good deeds in countless eons
一起用《入行論》的〈回向品〉回向
and dedicate the merits as said in Chapter Ten Dedication in 《A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life》
人身有如如意寶
Life as human is like wish-granting jewel
佛法有如如意寶
Buddha Dharma is like wish-granting jewel
我們對善知識和三寶的信心
Our faith on the Guru and the tree treasures
就像《華嚴經》說
As said in 《Flower Ornament Sūtra》
信為道源功德母 長養一切諸善根
Faith is the mother of all merits and virtues, nurturing the roots of all goodness
所以得到人身 值遇佛法 又有信心
Therefore, we live as humans, meet the Buddha Dharma, and have the faith
可以說我們是非常非常有福的人
It can be said that we are very fortunate people
我們應該善用這個福報
We should make good use of such good karma
去創造更多的福報
to create more good karma
去利益更多的人
to benefit more people
佛法有兩大正見
In Buddha Dharma there are two correct views
業果見和空性見
The view of causality and the view of emptiness
獲得了業果的正見
Obtaining the correct view of causality
依律行持
acting in accordance with disciplines
就可以截斷三惡趣的痛苦
we can eliminate the suffering in three miserable realms
而證悟空性就能破除輪迴的痛苦
Realizing the emptiness can eradicate the suffering of transmigration
經過聞思修的過程
After the process of hearing, contemplating, and meditating
在身心中去實證緣起性空
to obtain actual proof of causality and emptiness in body and mind
是所有修行者的理想
is the dream of all practitioners
願我們在新的一年裡
I wish in the coming year we can
繼續朝著這樣的目標
keep moving forward to such purpose
以利他的心意歡喜前行
with altruistic mentality and joy
聖天菩薩所著的《四百論》中說
It is said in 《Four Hundred Stanzas》 written by Aryadeva
薄福於此法 雖疑亦不生
Those who have little merit cannot have any doubt for this dharma
縱雖起疑惑 亦震撼三有
Those who have the slightest doubt can shake the basis of the three realms
如果沒有深厚的福報
Without deep advantageous rewords
對空性也無法生起合理的懷疑
one cannot have reasonable doubt for emptiness
哪怕生起一念合理的懷疑
Even giving rise to one thought of reasonable doubt
也能震動三有的根本
will be enough to shake the basis of the three realms
所以一定不要忘了去希求空性
Therefore, do not forget to pursue emptiness
要持續地累積能夠聞思修空性的資糧
We must keep accumulating merits for hearing, contemplating, and meditating on emptiness
希望大家和我一起依照《入行論》來發願
I wish everyone arouse the vow with me according to 《A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life》
願貧得財富 苦者享安樂
May the poor attain wealth, those stricken with grief find joy.
願彼絕望者 振奮意永固
And may the discouraged become uplifted and perfectly steadfast.
願諸病有情 速脫疾病苦
May as many limited beings as are sick be swiftly set free from sickness;
亦願眾生疾 畢竟永不生
and may the sicknesses of wandering beings, without exception, never recur.
願諸伽藍寺 讀誦以興盛
May monasteries be well established, full of chanting and study.
僧伽常和合 僧事悉成辦
May there always be harmony among the sangha, and may the purpose of the sangha be accomplished.
願諸有情眾 慇懃供諸佛
May all sentient beings honor all the Buddhas in numerous ways.
依佛無邊福 恆常獲安樂
May they be exceedingly joyful with the inconceivable bliss of the Buddhas.
再次祝福大家
